China’s imports and exports totaled 16.04 trillion yuan……

China’s imports and exports totaled 16.04 trillion yuan in the first five months of this year, up 8.3% year on year, the General Administration of Customs announced today.

Customs statistics show that in the first five months of this year, China’s import and export value was 16.04 trillion yuan, up 8.3% year on year. Exports totaled 8.94 trillion yuan, up 11.4% year on year; Imports reached 7.1 trillion yuan, up 4.7% year on year.

In the first five months of this year, China’s foreign trade structure continued to improve, with general trade imports and exports reaching 10.27 trillion yuan, up 12% year-on-year. China’s imports and exports to ASEAN, EU, US and ROK were 2.37 trillion yuan, 2.2 trillion yuan, 2 trillion yuan and 970.71 billion yuan respectively, up 8.1%, 7%, 10.1% and 8.2% year-on-year respectively. Asean continues to be China’s largest trading partner, accounting for 14.8 percent of China’s total foreign trade.

In the first five months of this year, Inner Mongolia’s import and export of agricultural products exceeded 7 billion yuan, including 2 billion yuan exported to “Belt and Road” countries, with the support of a series of measures to promote the stability and quality of foreign trade.

According to customs statistics, in the first five months, China’s imports and exports with countries along the Belt and Road increased by 16.8% year-on-year, and those with other 14 RCEP members increased by 4.2% year-on-year.
